Bank exams can be one of the most stressful times of the year for BSA/AML teams—but they don’t have to be. Join Ryan McInerny—a former OCC bank examiner and RiskScout’s Chief Product Officer—for an inside look at what examiners are really evaluating during BSA reviews.
Ryan will share first-hand insights from his years in the field: what regulators focus on, the most common compliance pitfalls he saw in community banks, and how institutions can better prepare for exam day. Whether you're new to BSA or a seasoned officer preparing for your next review, this session will leave you feeling more informed, confident, and exam-ready.
This session is designed to help you:
Understand the Examiner’s Perspective: Learn how examiners approach BSA reviews and the most common pitfalls they encounter.
Focus on What Matters: Get clarity on which elements of your program actually get scrutinized—and which don’t.
Turn Reviews into Wins: Discover how to shift from a reactive to proactive approach using examiner-aligned workflows and reporting.
